untitled because TIRED

So I'm pleased to report that all of Kari's kitchen shelves are properly dressed with pretty green paper and I can sleep the sleep of knowing it was a job well done.

WHATever.

In spite of my stellar shelf-covering skills, my great-with-child daughter still has TOO MUCH to do before baby arrives, and you just know I have every intention of helping her further, but today my plans are simple.

Let's just say they include a bit of wall-staring and laundry.

It's going to be a wonderful time of rest, relaxation, and dare I say, recuperation.

ps - Just look how Norah has grown!

Happy Wednesday :)

fortunately the m&ms help

Well.

Kari & Drew are moving into their new house tomorrow & I think it's one of the sweetest little houses ever.

Unfortunately, moving into even sweet little houses requires a good bit of unpleasantness.
You know, like putting things in boxes and putting boxes in cars and taking things out of boxes.

To top off the big fun there's also washing and cleaning and scrubbing and sweeping, and if we're lucky perhaps a little whistling while we work.

Thank goodness for Swiffers and Windex and, yes, I'm just going to put it out there, Clorox.  I know bleach is now an evil, toxic agent, but when moving into a new space nothing is more comforting than that clear-your-sinuses-scent of stranger-germ eradication.  We prefer our very own dirt, thankyouverymuch.

After spending the day on the aforementioned miscellany I had one more super-important task before going to work, and it required a quick visit to Target to pick up (SIGH) some stupid contact paper.

That's right, I said it.
Stupid...as in stupid contact paper.

And because of that momentary lapse in judgment I imagine my tomorrow will consist mostly
of cutting and arranging and rearranging said paper.

It is a pretty green pattern, so there is that.

I also predict a great deal of lifting and carrying of all the things, but Kari and I will be avoiding those shenanigans altogether unless it involves the one-year-old pictured above.

We'll pick him up and put him down...and pick him up and put him down...as often as requested
because did you see those sweet blue eyes?

XOXO

sunday six: stuff that happened this weekend

So here's the thing.  Things have been on the hectic side around these parts recently.

(How many times have I said that in the last couple of years?)

(Eleventy-hundred, would be my guess.)

(Saying it a lot doesn't make it less true.)

Anyhoo, here's some stuff that happened...

1.  I spent a chunk of Friday with Audrey, Owen, & Peyton, and by chunk I mean a lot of hours.  There might have been some bickering and snuggling and Mickey Mouse, sprinkled with some snacks and sugary beverages.  Peyton was completely cooperative with his nap routine because, well, he's Peyton...and several hours later Owen announced he was "ti-werd," tossed a pillow on the floor, grabbed his GWEEN bwankie, and fell fast asleep right in the middle of Doc McStuffins.  He was so yummy all sprawled out in the middle of the crazy I could barely leave him alone except for I'm not completely insane.

2.  Also on Friday, Jeremy was in a car accident on his way to work.  We're so thankful he has only seemingly minor-ish injuries and no other drivers were involved.  The car was totaled and he's really sore & banged up, but it could have been so much worse!

3.  It rained so hard and was so foggy on Saturday that it looked snowy from my window.  It was creepy and crazy and cozy.  I might have taken a tiny little nap right after my turkey sandwich & tomato soup.   Also, in stark contrast to the crazy that was Friday, it was virtually silent :)

4.  I rediscovered Toaster Strudel.  I fully understand this might be in the category of stupid stuff, or perhaps even nonstuff, to most, but I say it's BIG FUN.  Frankly, I found them so delightful I'm contemplating buying the littles some black cherry Kool-Aid just because I can.

5.  Today was in no way silent.  Not a little quiet.  Not even a tad peaceful.  There was no wall-staring, no strudel-eating, and no House Hunters-watching.

(None.)

(AT ALL!!)

6.  Audrey got stung by a bee this afternoon.  (SEE NUMBER FIVE.)

She cried.  She cried a lot.

Norah also cried because of course.  Norah also cried a lot.

Owen did not want to miss out on all the tragic fun so he also cried, and a lot, because he's a team player.

It was very loud.
The end.

Sooo...any stuff happen in your 'hoods this weekend??

XOXO

I think i like living in a very small town right next to a pretty big town

So today I stumbled upon a lunch that made me six different ways of happy.  Maybe seven.  And by stumbled I mean Kari & Drew mentioned it yesterday and I didn't want to miss out on some kind of undiscovered terrific.

Enter The Dairi-O.

Y'all.
Over & over, since moving two whole hours south I run across these scenarios that feel like my childhood.  Which is strange because my childhood was, well, not the Carolinas.

Anyway, my lunch excursion was another one of those times when every part of it was familiar in spite of never having been there before.  The Dairi-O is a little burger place that I can only imagine was probably a small-town Dairy Queen knock-off a million years ago that refused to go away.

I liked every single thing about it ;)

I liked the professional types walking out to their cars and presumably back to their Very Important Jobs, passing right by the families in their swimsuits sitting outside with their littles all sweaty & giggly.

I really liked the sweet little high-schooler and her ponytail with the ribbon who took my order & my money & chatted it up a little bit with her Carolina drawl.

I liked the burger that inexplicably tasted not at all like anywhere else but exactly like small town in a way I can't quite describe...

...and I really, really, really liked the piping hot crinkle fries that - no kidding Mary - were even yummier than Frank's.

But perhaps the very best part of all?  The frigid fountain Pepsi they served up over a bajillion tiny little ice pellets.

(Let me just take a moment here)

Rumor has it they have hand-dipped ice cream they use to create ridiculous absurdities like banana splits & hot fudge sundaes & what-not, and of course I can't be sure but I'll be very surprised if I disapprove because, you know, the ice cream, it's hand-dipped.

Anyway, this whole burger & fries experience got me to wondering...
Do y'all have any particular tastes that remind you of a different time?
I'd love to hear about them :)

Happy Middle-of-Summer!

so how was your day, dear?

Blogger is being a big baby tonight and I simply don't have it in me to try to recreate what I already said for the third time.  (No, I'm not aggravated ticked off cranky, why do you ask?)

Anyway, I'm opting to leave you with the picture below,
which I feel sufficiently sums up my day.

(Spoiler Alert!  It was a good one!)

In my opinion, it's all good when you have a floor full of Leggos.
(ps - remind me to tell you sometime when I'm not aggravated ticked off cranky about Owo and his Leggos.)

general miscelleny in the form of a list

Where I haven't been in weeks, not that I'm complaining or anything

Okay, so I'm tired from all the recent wonderful.
Therefore, all I have for you is some scattered thoughts in listy form.

1.  I'm so, so sorry to report that the car AC started to "run warm" again just two days after spending money I mostly didn't have to get it repaired.  Upon further discussion with The Guy, he informs me it'll only cost 500 million fountain Pepsi's to get her up and running, as if fountain Pepsi's grow on trees.  As tempted as I was, it seemed like proceeding would be a poor decision because I think we all know I can't live that long without another fountain Pepsi on ice.

2.  I've been sweating more than I'm comfortable sharing on the worldwideweb.

I have also been fussing and griping and getting all mad as I zip down Highway 52 at 70 miles per hour with all my windows down, and I"m just going to tell you straight up that you could not pay me enough to divulge the crankiness that is me when sitting in traffic.

(Unless, of course, you offered 500 million fountain Pepsi's...)

B.  I saw Norah and the littles today and it was worth every bit of hot and cranky I endured to kiss those little fingers and cheeks and sniff her baby-head a few dozen times.

Audrey took her away from me because she is a poor sharer, but as soon as she caught a whiff of a certain little something Norah had deposited she quickly offered to give her back, ha!

7.  Just this.

 Waffle Cone with Chocolatey Chips
Amen.

a.  I recently rediscovered the glorious wonder that is sweet tea, as opposed to the mostly sugar-free stuff I've resorted to over the past couple of years.  I feel kinda bad for the sub par stuff I've been serving my family in recent days.  They'll be relieved to know I've rejected the folly of my unsweet ways & am now back on track.

4.  Owen has started a new thing since two whole days ago when he spent days & days with me.  He walks up and cocks his head and says "huh?" whenever he's surprised.  For instance, today he came out of his room where he was supposed to be napping to find me in the living room, and proceeds to cock his head to the side and exclaim "huh? why are you here Naynay, this is not your house?"

I try not to take such things personally.

D.  Audrey is now concerned about me living alone.  I don't know when or why the light bulb went off but suddenly she's all worried about me being lonely and wants to send someone to stay with me.

(Little does she know of all the delighted wall-staring I do when I find myself sitting in silence.)

c.  (Please don't tell her about all the delighted wall-staring I do when I find myself in blessed silence.)

12.  Finally, there is this...

(You're so welcome.)

XOXO

toddler tyranny

Owen:  "Naynay, I want owanges."

Naynay:  "Sorry sweetie...I don't have any oranges!"

O:  "But I want some!"

N:  "But I don't HAVE any..."

O:  "But I WANT some!"

N:  "But I don't have any."

O:  "But I WANT some!"

N:  (Big sigh)  "But I don't have any, Bubby.  I'm so sorry"

Owen, taking a moment to think hard thoughts with big frowns:

...but you have SO-DA!!

Well, alrighty then :)

an allegedly riveting account of mostly nothing at all

My children have been mocking my woeful bloggy performance these last few many weeks, so I'm trying valiantly to get back my groove back, despite the never-ceasing distractions.  Unfortunately, this could mean occasionally grasping at creative-content straws...which leads us to what will likely be the most boring blog post in the history of boring blog posts, so consider yourself warned.

(Now would be time to make a run for it if you want.)

(Seriously...not kidding.)

(Well okay then.  I warned you.)

Today I woke up tired and back-achy and cranky and stressed.

The end.

(Just kidding!)

No really.  I did wake up tired and back-achy and cranky and stressed, but I certainly can't leave well enough alone.  That's just crazy talk.

I have been a little worn out recently, & as I analyze the situation (as I'm wont to do) my theory is it's just a delayed reaction to a lot of miscellaneous life that hit in the spring.

Anyway, I took my tired, back-achy, cranky, and stressed self to Merchants to try to get the car AC fixed.  Now I don't want to exaggerate or anything but I have suffered mightily with nary a complaint for a long couple of summers without  prioritizing the expenditure.  However, our newest baby Naff arrives in a very soonish manner, & we're just fooling ourselves if we don't think I'll be doing a lot of Littles-schlepping, and everybody knows it's all fun & games until it's 900 degrees outside and the Littles start sweating in the backseat.

Therefore, I reprioritized.

After three years hours in the waiting room it appears it's fixed!  For now!  (Yaay!)  Apparently there is a leak and no one knows whether it's a slow leak or a big leak and the only way to know is if I start sweating again.

I'm really looking forward to the mystery of wondering when it will again "run warm," at which time I'm to return to aforementioned car repair place so they can assess how many fountain Pepsi's it will cost me to continue in cool-air comfort.
It's just like the lottery except not at all.

On my way home I went through the Krispy Kreme drive-thru & embarrassed myself.

And now I'm home, and I'm not kidding at all when I say that's all I did today.

Oh!  And it rained!  Again!

Tomorrow I plan to share how I put on my reindeer jammies at 4:48 in the afternoon and nearly wept with delight and then proceeded to eat broccoli for dinner.  Stay tuned!

XOXO

another day, another thwarted life lesson

So today was filled with all manner of drama and intrigue, intermingled with a
dizzying array of both ups and downs.

I kept thinking that if I just held on, forged ahead, and persevered, I might pull out a win and teach a certain little girl with grand plans of a life undefeated a lesson or two,
but it wasn't to be.

The lucky little kid beat me every. single. time.

Enjoy it while you can little girl, enjoy it while you can...

sweet ballerina

Today was fun :)

Audrey had her first dance recital and Y'all, every single child there was just as delightful as you might expect.  The recital was for littles like Audrey and her friends, all the way up to high school seniors, and truth be told, I kinda wanted to hug them all.

I asked her to "do something" for me, to which she replied she would need music first.  Duh!

I don't think I've ever seen her so excited.  She marched out on stage and did her thing with great enthusiasm - and it should be noted - nary a crossed arm or bashful freak-out.  These were taken afterwards, and she was flat-out giddy with what I can only assume was some performance-driven adrenaline.

We were told no pictures so I didn't bother to bring my camera, which means all I have are these from my phone, which means of course BLURRY, but they still make me so happy...

...just like she does :)

new beginnings and fresh hope

So today I finally got out of the house for a bit, and breathed deep the sunshiny air, and hugged babies, and talked to some other actual people.

There has been some loss, and we've been sick, and it's flat-out been a rough few weeks around these parts, but I'm thankful to report that life is still glorious even in the hard, and sooner or later the miseries abate even just the littlest bit...and before we even know it we're again standing upright, laughing in the sun :)

Feeling especially thankful this Monday afternoon for...

her solemn explanation that she isn't "here to stay" & they're just "givin' me a ride"

fresh hope

my very first "let's get coffee sometime" since moving

her utter determination in transporting her beach paraphernalia to the sandbox, pulling shovel after bucket after rake out of her frilly pinkalicious backpack

his eyes all lit up when he sees me

that chunky little arm resting casually on my leg as he sits close-as-can-be, dunking his chicken nuggets

that oh-so-yummy way she says "Chik-i-lay" every. single. time.

catching up and hearing good things

baby talk

hints of wellness

soft, WARM breezes

new beginnings, on new days, right in front of new weeks

I made it and didn't even fly off the mountain

Well.  The drive home wasn't exactly what I expected.

There was scary wind that I was certain would shove me unceremoniously into the path of the dumb trucks weaving all over the road.  I presume they were weaving because of the aforementioned wind but who really knows for sure.

Then there was the snowstorm I encountered atop the mountain.

Today's confused weather, that obviously didn't get the It's-mid-March-and-the-time-has-already-changed memo, rendered me unwilling to let go of 10 and 2...even to enjoy my long-awaited icy-cold beverage...for most of the drive.

It's a  miracle I made it home in one piece is all I'm saying.

But I did! and I'm very thankful to have done so.  God took very good care of me.

Shockingly, there was also drama of the aggravating kind only about 72 hours earlier while on my way to my mom's, but again God heard my desperate prayers and protected me from my amusing-only-to-others dilemma.

At least three of you are probably happy to know that I'm now wearing my beloved, albeit mildly aged, robe, I've finished off my beverage, and since it's officially after 9:10 in the p.m. my next move is to crawl in my bed to await my tomorrow do-over.

I'm feeling a little excited to see what Thursday brings.

Perhaps things will go COMPLETELY CRAZY and we'll have some sunshine with accompanying warmish weather.

Hope...it springs eternally in my heart.

lunch and a fuzzy picture

Y'all.  I know

I've been really stingy with my bajillion words in recent days.  I had planned to get all caught up today but instead opted to visit with my good pal Beth via her (yesterday's) live stream.  And then lo and behold Shannan gave me the heads-up that Frances Chan was also on the worldwideweb via the Verge Conference

What's a girl on a quest for some reviving to do?

Ditch the talking and commence with some listening, that's what.

(I know it's fuzzy but seriously take in ALL THAT CUTE)

Be that as it may, it has occurred to me I've never once shared one of my family's greatest recipes of all time.  I'm not sure if it originated with Mamaw Honaker or if J created it herself, but either way it's always been a sure-fire, easy-to-throw-together success for me and mine.

Here's what you do:

Take a package of  hamburger & brown it up all pretty.
(In case you're interested, I've become a big fan of browning the daylights out of my ground beef.  Make sure it's all caramelized & colorful.)

(You'll be glad you did.)

Moving on.

After you've drained it, throw it back in the pan and add ketchup, mustard, & brown sugar, and let it simmer until it caramelizes & looks too yummy to wait any longer.

Toast a hamburger bun and load it up with the meat mixture.

(Add some mayo to the bun if you're weird like me.)

Eat and repeat.

Best Sloppy Joes in the history of ever.  No lie.

Happy, Happy Friday!

I love ya :)

1 Cup Ketchup
4 Tablespoons Brown Sugar

so do I go with the window or aisle?

Okay.  So here's the deal.  I know I'm not supposed to tell you that I'm traveling because of all the BREAKING AND ENTERING and what-have-you, but no one knows where I live and even before I moved the only people who knew where I lived were you guys and you would never break or enter.  So y'all, I'm traveling today!

I have embarked on my first official vacation.  And by vacation I mean I am NOT WORKING EVEN AT ALL and not only that but I'm leaving on a jet plane.

Can you even believe it?  It's been a million years since I flew the friendly skies and I just now realized I might should be mildly nervous.  Whatever.  I'm just relieved that my senior-citizen-vehicle made the drive to Raleigh and also that I made it through security with no beeps or alarms and only suffered the mildest of indignities during said security check.  I'm calling it a win.

Of course in my desire not to be stressed out by all the busy and unfamiliar I wanted to get here nice and early, and I'm thinking we can call that mission accomplished because HERE I SIT, completely through security a solid two hours before my flight.  I suppose I overshot things a bit but better safe than sorry is my motto.

(I don't really have a motto but I'm thinking if I did that could be it.)

Whatever.
I made it, and barring any kind of me-like unforeseen catastrophe I should be good to go.

Now my big decision is whether to purchase that Dramamine Tana keeps NOT SO SUBTLY encouraging me to purchase.  Apparently Texas is a stormy destination this afternoon and she is concerned about my gastrointestinal comfort.  I'll let you know later if I commence with some upchucking.

p.s.  I'm so weird.  I hadn't been sitting here five minutes and I was thinking about how it was a shame I hadn't brought my foot pedal so I could work a bit because HEAVEN FORBID I just be still.

weekend wrap-up

Well now I'm feeling all compelled to get caught up on my movie watching.  I was working tonight but had the Golden Globes on just for the company, of course.  Those award shows always aggravate me while simultaneously stirring up my movie-love.

I usually don't watch them but have recently started tuning in again for the sole purpose of "getting" all the Twitter jokes and commentaries and also jokes.  Twitter on awards nights - and pageant nights - makes the rest of the Twitter-year worth it all.  Nothing like giggling with random stranger-friends from all over the good old US of A.

Anyhoo, now I'm filled with a renewed commitment to catch Lincoln and maybe Argo (because that Ben Affleck is such a cutie-patootie and he worked SO HARD on it) and I am now officially SUPER ANXIOUS to get to Les Mis with my Kari.

I have no comment on the absurd wardrobe of most of the apparently starving starlets but I would be delighted to make 'em a sandwich given the opportunity, or better yet a casserole.  With cream of whatever soups.  And sour creamAnd cheese.

And now I can't believe I've rambled on for several paragraphs about Hollywood when I had much more interesting things going on this weekend.

Starr came to town!!  I was SO GLAD!  And if I was SO GLAD it's safe to say my Kari was positively giddy.  She drove down to spend the weekend with Kari & Peyton (& I suppose Drew, but whatever) and they came over last night for dinner, along with Katie & Audrey.

It was so nice to have some girls to feed and look at and I'm just gonna say it, to delight in.

Girls.  I just love 'em.

Audrey Faith stayed after dinner and we had a sleepover!  With precious little sleep!  There might have been a bit of sheet changing and bed swapping but I'll never say.  I reported on Twitter that I kept taking my pillow to where she was not, but she just kept right on finding me.  Bed, couch, bed couch, bed...you get the ideaApparently she was oblivious to my escape efforts, and she certainly did not take them personally.

I love that sweet girl so much I can't even tell you.

We conducted another interview that I'll share with you later in the week...and wow-oh-wow can that little girl talk!!!  My head was spinning trying to keep up, so I finally decided to type out her running dialogue for about five minutes straight, and if you really really want me to I'll throw that on here as well.

You'll be relieved to know I drew the line at home movies.

This time.

Y'all take care and enjoy your Monday :)

P.S.  T minus five-ish days & counting until I'm sniffing the air at THE SEA.

msm: bedlam, with a side of mayhem.

So the Littles came to Naynay's house today.

All of 'em...

...the whole cranky lot of 'em at one time.

Owen was more than a little aggravated that his mama left him, and he kept putting on his fireman boots and his baseball cap, and wandering around the house while dragging Woody by one foot, asking "where'd mama GO?"

Audrey Faith was snuggly and whiny.  I thought she felt warm a time or two and wouldn't be a bit surprised if she decides to announce she's sick before the night is out.  Hopefully I'm wrong, but it was definitely one of those days where I kept thinking I needed to find a thermometer.

(On the plus side, she was seriously yummy in her pigtails.)  (Just sayin.')

Peyton also was not amused when mama left.  And he wasn't shy about it.  I might have used the term grief-stricken when encouraging Kari to COME BACK after a few hours.  He followed me around the whole entire livelong day with an uncharacteristic, decidedly un-smiley demeanor.  He was so pitiful.  He kept crawling to the front door sobbing, standing up, and BANGING ON IT ENTHUSIASTICALLY.

Alas, to no avail.

Eventually their mamas returnedI tried not to take their unadulterated glee personally.

I might have been too busy hiding my own ;)

Happy (money-shot) Monday!

(By the way, the sleeping angel above got a whopping 12 minutes in before Audrey woke him up while informing me that, wait for it, Owen was not asleep.)  (sigh.)

msm: on the road again

So it seems I've been doing a lot of this over the last two weeks.  I've lost count of how many trips to Target I've made and that's not the best worst of it, as there have been many other various & assorted trips to delightful shopping destinations such as The Walmart.

Fortunately, all the schlepping isn't aggravating me very much yet.  The above is my birds-eye view as I drive home & it's so daggone pretty I can't seem to work up a good case of cranky.  This would be just about 45 seconds from my apartment.  Not too shabby, huh!

(Also not too shabby?  I took this picture with my snazzy new phone.  Crazy!!)

Today was so beautiful and warm and blue-skyish that I was compelled, COMPELLED I say, to get out and about.  So I drove to Applebee's and ordered myself a cheese quesadilla & Dr. Pepper, and sat there all by my lonesome, and enjoyed every minute of it.  I almost changed my mind as I pulled the key out of the ignition and remembered I was sans make-up with unstraightened hair, but I pressed forward, and in the span of the first 15 seconds the couldn't-have-been-more-than-20-years-old hostess called me "Sweetheart," "Love," AND "Honey."  She didn't even seem to notice that I was a bit of a hot mess and for that I tipped the waitress well.  And then I proceeded to the Target.  (sigh.)

I still haven't hung anything else on the wall, and the sink is leaking like a, well, faucet, but my Christmas tree lights are all shimmery and I love the way they reflect in the window.

All in all I'd say today turned out pretty great and for that I'm full of thanks.

Sooo...enough of me, what in the world have y'all been up to?

p.s.  I'm joining in with Flower Patch Farmgirl for Money Shot Monday :)

msm: on laundry and tiny alleged dribblers

Y'all.  It's 11:58 in the p-m around here, so time is of the essence if I'm to be bonafide in calling this masterpiece my Monday Money Shot.

(So I guess I'll cut right to the chase...)

(Ha!  Not likely!)

The above photo pretty much sums up my current focus, excepting my detour to the local YMCA where I dropped Audrey off at her first Little Dribblers practice and nearly died from all the cute.  If you ever find yourself feeling a bit blue or glum or even cranky I dare you to find yourself some three-to-four-year-old basketball practice.
Hilarious with also a good dose of precious.

Well.  I digressed quite a bit right there, didn't I?

Back to the above photo.  I finally had my new washer and dryer delivered today and wasted no time in testing it out.  It's been loud and busy around these parts today but I'm feeling more than a little productive.  It also helped that I hung three pictures and a mirror during the course of this very same day.

Another week or three and I'll be moderately settled in, and then what on earth will we do?

For now?  I suggest sleep!

Nitey nite :)

msm: an update disguised as drivel

So here's where things stand right now.

I found my hooks and got my new - (I know! I actually plunked down $19.99 and bought a new curtain!)  (I'm happy to say I finally have shower-curtain peace) - shower curtain hung, AND followed that up with a very-much-needed shower.  And it was great.  Except the shower head was pretty lousy.  (Why is it that Kate moves from place to place with the best shower pressure I've ever seen and I move from place to place with sad, tired, and also pitiful pressure?)

Either way I'm clean and refreshed and also my hair smells better.

After achieving a certain level of clean I ventured out again to return some of the things I bought yesterday that didn't work like I wanted them to, and proceeded to nearly collapse in a twitchy heap whilst battling the crowds.

Apparently there are a lot of people in the Big City.  Who knew.

Either way I emerged victorious with both a Water Pik and a 12-pound butterball.

(Bring on the carbs!)

After finishing up with all the crazy I dropped by Katie's to pick up an oh-so-very-anxious Audrey who'd basically been sitting by the door all day with her packed lunch (so she could eat with NayNay!) and half-gallon of milk.  (Babygirl loves her milk.)

Now I'm sitting on the floor having consumed my cheese sandwich & chicken noodle soup (thanks Kate!) and enjoying both my Pepsi and my lunch date....while ignoring the total and complete chaos which surrounds us.

It'll all get done.  How can it not with such a perfect little helper?

Y'all have a great day!

p.s.  I'm joining in with Flower Patch Farmgirl for Money Shot Monday :)

timhntty part four (and this one's a doozy)

I'm moving!

(Again!)

But this time I'm crossing state lines.

Yup.  It's true.  I'm off to Carolina.

Sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but Big Things have been happening very fast and I've been a little a lot on the busy side helping Kari get moved while simultaneously getting myself packed up and holding down my day night job.

I'll share more details later (ad nauseum no doubt), but for now I'll just tell you that on this very day I am moving into a little apartment almost exactly between Kari's new home and Katie's home.

I had no intentions of moving again, like ever, but when God put Kari and Drew less than an hour away from Katie and Jeremy it only seemed right to consider...and then this apartment became available at a delightfully reasonable price, so it only seemed right to grab it and go all YAY ADVENTURE.  (Three cheers for move-in specials!

Anyhoo, that's what I'm up to.  I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend :)
I'll be in touch when I crawl out from under the boxes!
